New to the game? New characters? Just a little unsure of how you're doing? That's what this is here for, people.

How it works: Comment here - others will reply to that comment with what they have to say, and hopefully many lulz and happifuntimes will be had. We're encouraging asking questions if you don't know why or how a character got to the point they're at in game, and we're encouraging constructive criticism that isn't:

"Oh, you're so good bb!"
or
"I hate you. Diaf."

So make it good! You only get one shot every other month, right? At any rate, before you go off to comment, remember: You will get comments you agree with, and you will get comments you don't agree with; thus is the way of life. Don't take it personal. Don't get angry and start trolling. These people don't have anything against you as a person — unless, uh, they do, which we won't abide by — and we're all here to have fun, right? So let's act like it.

Anonymous comments have been temporarily enabled in the OOC community for the sake of anonymous crit, but as this privilege was abused last time and the moderators had to intervene, as promised this time around we are keeping logging IP on. We will not be checking the IP-addresses unless things get out of hand, nor will we be sharing them ever, but this is a measure in place to help prevent further abuse of anonymous commenting. If this causes discomfort, most players, as well as the mods, have personal HMDs on their journals. You are also free to contact any moderators privately or by PMing this account.

Other comments? I've actually been feeling much better about things lately, and I believe I'm back in the swing of CnC! So hopefully the girls will be around more.

Sometimes it seems you don't give a lot to work with in your responses with Laura. Your responses are sometimes very brief and can keep a thread from progressing along naturally, missing the cues to take the conversation elsewhere. In a few threads I've read, I've noticed that the other person has tried to offer different things you could respond to, only to have Laura say similar things again and again. It makes the threads read as somewhat one sided, like the other person is doing a lot of work to offer different tidbits to Laura, and she doesn't take any of them. My advice is to maybe try to be more present in the threads (I hope that makes sense) and have her pay more attention to what is being said to her, that way she can help to move conversations along. I know the character has a history of difficulty in understanding people and social situations, so perhaps you can even work this in as an IC development for her.

And I am really glad that you're feeling better about the game. I enjoy playing with your girls and look forward to seeing where they'll be headed next! Thanks for reading this!

This has actually been a problem I've been feeling a lot with her lately (and one of the reasons I've been trying to throw her into things). Laura has sort of gotten set up in a little 'life' where she's...comfortable, I guess? And I find I have a hard time getting her to care about a lot of things outside of that. So when conversations come up, and I want her to keep answering, she...doesn't?

But! Hopefully getting her back out into the world and involved in things will rekindle her interest in everybody else. I'm really hoping it will, at least, because I love playing her. We shall see!

But thank you, because you actually voiced a problem I've been having a lot better than I could, lately. Hehe.
