Alright, Zoe here! I kinda sorta completely failed at coming back from hiatus but I am back for reals now! (also theo lets you all know she has similar failsentiments) AND SO I BRING YOU A SPECIAL ZOE & THEO PRODUCTION

We’ve worked hard on this, and it should be a spooooooky end to October, month of plots. c:

SO IN OTHER WORDS - SCARECROW AND CALENDAR MAN RUIN HALLOWEEN (and also All Saint’s Day & All Soul’s Day)

Short story: Scarecrow’s fear powers + Calendar’s monster powers = holiday demons from the demon dimension



So Calendar Man likes holidays and Scarecrow likes Halloween so they decide to team up! Classic villain style. But then Jon has the BRIGHT IDEA of trying to boost Julian’s powers with his fear powers and uh

Things go wrong. Demon dimension wrong.

So for the duration of Halloween as well as All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s day, so October 31st to November 2nd, Scarecrow and Calendar Man’s demon babies monsters are going to running amuck during the night. A handful during the day.

THERE ARE THREE TYPES:

Trick or Treacherous take the form of reverse-trick or treaters, demonic-like monsters pretending to be normal people. They're obviously wearing costumes, mimicking natives, imports and (possible) dropped characters, like a weird grotesque mirror. They like going after the people they're dressed as! So watch out for people dressed up as you (however, this is TOTALLY OPTIONAL). Also, over the three day period their outfits start to rot off. So enjoy that too.

The Trick or Treacherous LOVE CANDY and will GO AFTER IT. This can be used as a DISTRACTION. If they eat too much they burst like pinatas. CANDY EVERYWHERE. They can also take heavy damage from imPort powers, too!


Freudinfiends appear as apparitions out of the corner of the eye, akin to shadow beings, and when faced head-on, appear as someone the person fighting them really cares about--either in the City, or from back home. With the added proviso that they have this crazy desire to really hurt the PC in question / their friends, and need to be put down.

They also have (limited) knowledge of the person they're imitating at any given time (they know what the PC knows, no otherworldly knowledge, future or past, need apply) and may attempt to psychologically damage the PC as they attempt to physically terminate the PC.

Freudinfiends tear up like fabric but reform almost instantly if attacked.
They are only vulnerable to damage if the PC they've decided to harass takes a temporary fall from grace - breaks a promise, steals something valuable, in any way violates a tenant they hold dear.


Polyimpsters look like HALLOWEEN COSTUMES that are indistinguishable from their mass-sewn-in-china counterparts and proceed to attempt to eat their NPC wearers and then wander around animating the bodies. They can look like popular media characters or imports, same thing. They are highly flammable.

Polyimpsters can be ripped off their victims with enough force and speed. They are also HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. Although setting them on fire while they have a human victim inside them is not advisable.


Most of this is taking place in the Upper West Side, and although there will be sporadic demonic attack during the days, the majority of the demons (particularly the Freudinfiends/shadow apparitions) will manifest during the nights.



What all this means is YOU ALL can choose (you don’t have to run into demons if you don’t want to!) to fight or flee from any monster/demon of your choosing. You could also try one of each ;) BASICALLY CHAOS. MONSTERS. EVIL HALLOWEEN COSTUMES. THINGS TO FIGHT. THINGS TO FEED CANDY. THINGS TO MAKE YOU VIOLATE YOUR PRINCIPLES.

They're definitely hostile but not as dangerous as the other two - think of them as sort of demonic bullies - pushing small children to the ground and stealing their candy, maybe stuff like punching and fighting etc but not deadly and probably won't put people in the hospital

I'm really tempted to throw a freudinfiend at Minako, which will undoubtedly end well since I'm not sure what, if anything, she could end up doing to get rid of it.

Freudinfiends could be damaged but not defeated - they're defeat is based on going against your own principles - and then you can whomp them. Polyimpsters not particularly - though they could possibly be damaged or harrassed, they're not invincible. The Trick or Treacherous are fair game though, light blast them ahead C:

I almost went straight to having Sanji attacked by a Nami-shaped Freudinfiend but he's had a rough month as it is. But I love that one so let's see....

Who wants to help Kotetsu deal with a Barnaby-shaped Freudinfiend? I have this feeling he would be entirely clueless as to how to stop it. XD
