Mini Bio

You feel that something’s... wrong. You feel pulled in every direction at once, and a flash of light slams you between the eyes, leaving you disoriented and bleary. After blinking away the nausea, you find that you’re standing smack dab in the center of a glowing platform, with nothing but a black and blue screen and flanged feminine voice for company.

“ Welcome to the City, Hero. ”
After getting your name, a machine dispenses your communicator and dog tags, and the faceless voice known only as Lachesis advises you to pick up a brochure on your way out, before laughing and fading away. And that's that. Welcome to the City – your new home.

If anyone asks, you're just another human immigrant to a city made up of almost nothing but. Stranded, alone, you've been brought to a city you're not used to, outfitted with powers you may have never even heard of, and you've got to try and keep a secret identity to boot. The locals might not be at the brick-throwing stage anymore, but most are still suspicious and fearful of imPorts with strange powers. The rest of the world isn't far behind; while some countries have voiced their support or neutrality toward the strange empowered individuals invading their world, some countries have outright banned imPorts from entering. Not everyone will be welcoming to your intentions, even if they don't have Skrulls hiding within their governments.

Get used to your powers, make some friends, form a team and fight some crime. Or, if that's not your style, get your villain hat on and cause some real mayhem, or get a job and wait for the next catastrophe to strike.

The City is yours, whether you like it or not.

CAPE & COWL is a panfandom RPG set in a parallel, modern day universe. The year is 2013 and the city is the City, as much as it might resemble New York. The City, as well as the rest of the world, is an open environment that is yours to explore, be it traveling abroad or exploring the strange, world-specific countries.

The game is predominately character-driven with an overarching modplot; player action determines plot fallout and the fate and reputation of imPorts in this new and quasi-familiar world. It is still a mystery who built the Porter and for what purpose, but with enough persistence, maybe the answers are not as out of reach as they seem.

Will you use your powers for good, for evil, or will you even use them at all? The choice is up to you, Hero.
