Plot! Everybody's Workin' For the Weekend
HELLO EVERYONE. Stacey bringing you the most mundane of mundane plots: a City wide, PC run JOB FAIR.
Due to a great injustice, April has been forced into community service by Darth Mitch. This is taking form as a day long job fair organized by her, occurring (shockingly) in a City Park on August 10th. Naturally, as this is April, a vetting processes for who can have a booth is severally lacking. All player owned business, government agencies, crime rings, D&D groups, you name it, can sign up here to have a booth that unemployed, friendless, or otherwise bored characters can come by and learn about exciting new opportunities at.
This post is for business sign ups and pre-plotting if there is anyone in particular you want your character hired by. Otherwise, everyone is welcome to attend when the log goes up. OOCly we'll say April sent info to businesses a while ago, and a heavily procrastinated IC announcement will be going out on the 9th to inform the population at large it's happening. The actual log will go up on the 10th itself.
In sum: if you have a business/group you'd like to be involved please fill out the form below! The deadline for signing up will be the 10th, just so I can have a list of groups in the start of the log.

Summary of Business/Group: Electronics R&D, consumer electronics, etc!
An particular skills/character types you're looking for in new memebers?: Starktech is always hiring! They will take PR, Secretaries, R&D folks, StarkTech has a lot of avenues for people to work at!
Booth Representative: Tony will obviously be there, and if any current Starktech employees want to come and man the booths, they are more than welcome!

Business/Group Name: City Hall Security Team!
Summary of Business/Group: Mostly the job description consists of making sure City Hall doesn't get blown up, that the Mayor doesn't get kidnapped, all that good stuff. Generally, it means your character will be in charge of shit that's out of the regular security's hands. However, it's also a totally boring job 99% of the time. More information on the team and the (to be updated) roster is over here on Bradbury's journal.
An particular skills/character types you're looking for in new members?: The ability to listen to orders, some kind of combat skills/experience, no axe to grind against the government/authority/existing City Hall employees, no criminal record or affiliation with known criminals (within the City, anyway), basically don't be crazy. Obviously, this would be Bradbury's ideal, but sadly reality is not always as one would wish it, so things can be fudged. Characters can be employed as actual muscle or in more of a logistics/risk assessment capacity.
Booth Representative: The 'booth' is probably going to be adjacent to City Hall's main one, and any member of the security staff is welcome to say they've showed up to man it/drum up some interest.

Business/Group Name: Natasha's implied dance company.
Summary of Business/Group: It is a small but fairly prestigious dance troupe that does a variety of traditional ballet and modern dance.
Any particular skills/character types you're looking for in new members?: Natasha oversees the fundraising aspect of the operation and hires people for office work. She's more interested in giving imPorts jobs but keeps this motivation secret. If your character is actually a dancer or wants to do something else with a dance company, I am sure she could get people a job/tryout, too.
Booth Representative: Natasha will show up herself. Maybe Gil too if Nita wants???

Summary of Business/Group: Government! Generally, City Hall employees other than the security staff work in the general government. Duties include pretty much everything that you can think of, records, the office of the comptroller, public advocate, and the separate areas of the different
boroughsregions of the City. I use NYC's government as a template, which means there are also all of these departments as well, as well as import/native relations as another section, and there's a pretty strong disaster recovery showing since imports blow up stuff all the time!An particular skills/character types you're looking for in new members?: Anyone who's interested! Pretty much, if your character is interested, just hit me up! Mitch is always looking for more staffing, and if your character has an interest, or an avenue that's of interest to your development, just let me know and we can work something out!
Booth Representative: Any City Hall employees can come?? Mitch will be there for like an hour or so, and if anyone else who works in city hall wants to represent, just let me know! If not, it'll be like the HR reps that'll be there anyway.

Summary of Business/Group: a dance club. small but very popular.
Any particular skills/character types you're looking for in new members?: bartenders, DJs, and bouncers perhaps. Also robot scientists who might be able to break into the lab in the sub-basement
Booth Representative: Alastair might be there briefly but let's face it he's terrible at these things. he may leave one of the club DJs there to spin music all afternoon and annoy the crap out of everyone else.
