So about that network explosion!

So! Prior to the network explosion of 2012, Aoi had been a little fed up with everyone's "phoniness" on the network. All that locking posts, and lying to each other and otherwise creating bad karma. Add to that his disappointment over Mister Mayor being evil (remember that alignment swap plot?), and Aoi was one disappointed kid.

Then the network died and it felt to him as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. His connection to the network, which has been near constant, and literally in his brain since Summer suddenly went dead. Bummer.

In an effort to fix this, Aoi has been tampering with the already unstable network 2.0! You know how olesia said certain locked posts would be easier to unlock given the right prodding? Yeah, uhh. That's happening. Here's the breakdown...

On February 3rd for a period of 12 hours (we'll say it starts at 12pm EST), any privated/encrypted conversations or posts on the old network (livejournal comm) will be viewable to anyone who might go looking. However! There will be no notification of this. The only way you'd notice it is if you went snooping. And really, with all the mess, who's to say if less than tech-savvy characters would notice anything anyway?



But Yami! My character has stuff privated that I don't want everyone just knowing about, you might say... That's 100% fine. This plot is entirely opt-in. If you don't respond to this post, it can just be assumed that people missed your character's posts or threads in their information scrounging.

If you would like to opt-in and would like to find information about given character, you will need to plot with the mun and predetermine what information will be shared. As an example, if Ali wanted Zoidberg to find out about Doctor Strange having a crush on Zatanna, she would have to find a thread where Strange discussed it, and then contact me about having it be considered "leaked". This way, both parties with characters directly involved will know that the information is going to be out there. If there is more than one party involved, you will need to contact all of them for it to be usable.

After that's been done, respond to this post using the form below to list out your character, the character your kid is creeping on, and the information they'll be getting. Just so everything is on the up and up and everyone is on the same page. Also, if you want to use this post for additional info-tastic plotting (or to find people to discover things about your characters) go for it.

I don't have any real intentions of finding anything out about anyone else's locked information just yet, but if anyone wants to go digging for anything Trowa ever said under encryption/private message, go wild. There's some really fun stuff in there. :3 Everything from personal conversations to information about mobile suits to stuff from when he tried infiltrating the Decepticons. BREAK IT ALL OPEN.

All my kids are good to go. It's pretty easy to find points to connect Jaime with the Blue Beetle alias, so there's that. Discussions of affiliation with MAJESTY/Vulcanus were also encrypted and if you wanna snoop, bug me (pun accepted).

I generally don't mind but I would like anything and everything Alastair encrypted using Decepticon encryptions NOT found. That's another programming language entirely, supplemented with his linguistic power. So pretty much all of his affiliation with Decepticons and some very very personal private stuff I'd like to stay off-limits.

Sob if only Geddoe were adept at searching, he could get all his Vulcanus info in one go. Does anyone who usually talks about Vulcanus to one another NOT want him to find out that they're also working to fight Vulcanus? He's mostly just looking for more allies.

Please understand that to do this plot, you will need to comment with the information your character is receiving specifically, with consent from the other mun beforehand. A blanket "everything is good for my character" will not work. I get that Roxanne is nosy and wants to be all up in everybody's business (and I'm cool with that, to a degree), but for the logistics of the plot, I would prefer if details regarding the information were very hashed out prior to things kicking off.

tl;dr, if she is going to find something, you will need to consult with that character's player and comment to this post using the form I listed above. Otherwise, that information will be considered off limits to this plot. Please let me know if you have any further questions or need clarification.
