VILLAIN ROAD TRIP PLOT & SIGN UP
Remember that villain road trip plot that got mentioned on GDS last month?
WELL IT'S HAPPENING
WHEN: 18-30 JUNE
WHAT: On 18 June, Lachesis will be attacked. In retailation, she will (randomly) ports groups of people out of the City to remote locations. Powers that would facilitate a quick return home will be nerfed and/or replaced with ridiculously useless ones (such as vomiting live rodents every hour). Communicators will cease functioning, save for playing annoying earworms. Groups will have to use the power of teamwork to return home.
Or not.
WHO:
Primarily villains and morally ambiguous types! If enough of these types sign up, a limited number of good guy slots will become available (and if a lot of morality types sign up, a handful will be randomly selected). Characters in Superjail or NOHoPE may also be signed up!
The attack on the Porter can be anyone, however. And if no one volunteers, it can always be anti-Import NPCs fed up with the status quo!
THE DETAILS:
Immediately after the attack on Lachesis, the characters will be ported to their random locations, communicators will no longer function properly (whether or not cell phones work is at the player's discretion; however, if a character attempts to use their cell phone to plot an easy escape/rescue, the call will become disconnected/crackly), and pertinent powers nerfed and/or replaced with useless ones. To clarify re: powers: those that would result in the group returning to the City much more quickly than a normal, non-powered human will nerfed/changed (e.g., superspeed, flight, magic, etc). The point is that they are all stuck together for as long as possible for as many shenanigans as possible, of course.
Once they've arrived at their destinations, any means to return is a possibility (grand theft auto, hitchhiking, walking...). If they try to split up, however, they will be ported back together. ESSENTIALLY THEY ARE STUCK WITH EACH OTHER UNTIL THEY RETURN TO THE CITY.
Any NPC deaths or PC deaths will need to be approved here by whomever's going to be responsible for them, and once we have a better idea of where everyone'll be and how many villains will be involved, a general umbrella number can be approved. Ditto with destruction.
Killing each other is totally permitted but everyone who dies gets ported to the middle of Nebraska once they come back for sucking at teamwork and in general.
Or somewhere equally as horrible as Nebraska.
Just kidding: the option will be up to the player.
SIGN UPS
For both the Porter attack and the road trip itself, sign ups will be open until Friday, 15 June. Groups and destinations will be posted on the 17th, and the plot will begin on the 18th.
I will also be taking suggestions for destinations at this time; don't forget that multiple countries exist that are singular to the game and are fair game!
