also this is more of a player plot than anything else but it came up on plurk once and i just loved the idea

a thread full of people stuck in traffic waiting for the latest superfight to break up

maybe an actual riot starts because of traffic jams and everyone has to decide between breaking it up and exposing their secret identity

(and, kind of like when everyone got new comms, i think it might be a good excuse for people to branch out and meet new characters?)
