Skrullhunting Plot - Part Three

So, as first indicated in this post, and further detailed here, there's a Skrull on the loose in the English Government, and he's about to be unmasked.

We have now confirmed that this plot will run ICly from Monday 13 May - Wednesday 15 May! Participating characters have been assigned into three teams, led by Jack Bauer, Callie Maggotbone, and Julian Keller. If your character is on either Callie or Julian's team, they will be out of the City for the duration of the plot and will return on Wednesday night. If they are on Jack's team, they will remain in the City.

On Monday 13, three logs will go up:

+ Callie will post a log for the diplomatic team, where they will host their meeting with the English delegation and, eventually, confront Craig Williamson.


+ Julian will post a log for the infiltration team, where they will enter the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and search for evidence on Williamson.


+ Jack will post a log for the research team.

On Wednesday 15 May, Julian will make an open network post, sharing the intel gained by the infiltration team. This will let everyone in the City know what is going on. Using this information, Callie's team will be able to go forward with their confrontation of Williamson. After the plot concludes, there will be a newspost describing the fallout of the confrontation, which will publicly confirm that the Government of England had been infiltrated by a Skrull working for Vulcanus.

That's how things will run in brief! For those who with characters in the infiltration team, I'll be putting more detail relevant to our log in the comments below. Please use this post for any final plotting! This is probably the last OOC post we'll make before the plot begins. Infiltration Team - Detail!

Okay guys! So, you will all have rolled the RNG for your characters on this post, and will have been given a personalised fate for your character in terms of how the ImBargo scanners will effect them.

Our team will initially gain entrance to England as part of Callie's delegation, which has permission to enter. Once inside, we will break off from the main party and travel to Westminster. Your character needs to get to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in Westminster. They can travel there either by public transport or by superhuman means. Our arrival itself will be handwaved. Once in Westminster, characters will pose as temporary Agency workers, who will join the FCO's administrative staff. They must maintain this cover, and secretly investigate the filing system to find incriminating evidence about Williamson.

They will uncover files relating to the following three subjects:

+ files that show a clear policy change from the time Williamson took over, indicating a sudden push towards supporting the ImBargo Act. The files will note that Williamson's predecessor had not pushed for ImBargo, showing that this change in policy came directly from Williamson.

+ files indicating that Williamson has had a personal relationship with Vulcanus. This will include finding expenses reports showing that he has had a lot of meetings and lunches with them during his period in charge, proof that he has accepted hospitality from them and policy documents which indicate that he is generally sympathetic towards them as a group.

+ finally, files noting that Williamson's personal stance had changed over the last year. This will include instructions between officials indicating that they should make preparations, since his stance seemed to have become far more anti-ImPort and as a result it seemed likely he would push for the introduction of ImBargo legislation.

Our log will have sub-threads for each type of file. Characters will interact with each other, work to root out the above information and will be trying to avoid detection by the authorities. How successful they are at that last point will depend on their individual RNG scores.

As noted above, on Wednesday 15 May, Julian will make a network post to reveal the contents of the files to the City at large. This post will also reveal what our characters have been doing in Westminster, so it will be our signal to leave! We will have to leave London immediately, and travel to a rendezvous point. Callie's team will pick us up there and we will return to the City as one group. For the sake of expediency, the pick up will be handwaved.
