Hello CNC! Sorry to throw multiple mod-posts at you one after the other, but seeing as the summer is nearly over, we wanted to try something new.
Welcome to our new Monthly Plot Discussion post, for the month of September!
Bear in mind this is still experimental; while we do intend to make this a consistent monthly feature, if interest seems low in the future we may be adjusting the structure to better suit the game's needs. Therefore we encourage you to really make the most of it and let us hear your thoughts! Let this be as slow-burning as you need, there is still some time until September, after all.
Here's how it works: In the post, there will be five threads set up. Four of them represent the weeks in the upcoming month (the month after the present month). Under the relevant week headings, we mods will comment with plots already scheduled on the calendar (be they modplot or player plots) so that everyone can see exactly what's already coming up.
Which is where you come in!
Weekly threads: Players are encouraged to post in the empty week threads (or for empty spans of days, in some cases) with plot ideas that have not quite reached the 'submission' stage; you can brainstorm plots you'd like to see and see if anyone is willing to run them, flesh out ideas you would like to use yourself, gauge general interest (and so on) before committing to the date or to the plotting post, inviting the game to respond and give feedback. These threads should be considered as very loose guidelines given that the majority of plots bounced around in these posts will not yet be officially approved or scheduled. That means work together and don't fight over dates, please!! Once you do come to a decision, plot post away.
"Other" thread: This will accommodate potential plots that have no intended date yet, or whose date would be further in the future than next month but you'd like to start working on it anyway. For all those even vaguer plot concepts that you might be kicking around, this is the thread for them.
"Mod update" thread: Lastly, this thread will be for things that the modteam is still discussing and developing but would also like the playerbase to be aware of and offer feedback upon.
