✖ So... what is this?
This is a short directory of permissions posts, as archived on individual journals, as well as HMDs and/or "cell phone" posts, if a player so wishes.

✖ Why are these needed?
Permissions posts are required only for any character whose power depends on or directly affects another character. Mind-reading, power-copying, shape-shifting, emotion-stealing, and so forth. Although it's not required for anyone else, some players use posts like this to allow a person to opt out of a type of interaction they may not desire -- if a character is particularly offensive, for example, someone may opt out of dialogs relating to one specific subject; or someone whose posts rely heavily on visual media or text alteration might be requested not to use those against a player with limited vision or that utilizes a screen reader.

Personal journal HMDs allow for a player or lurker to offer compliments or concerns with regards to a characterization or plot. Often these allow anonymous commenting or screen all conversations, though this isn't required.

"Cell phone," or In Character Contact posts, can allow a character to quickly get into contact with yours. Though comment threads on posts like this do not qualify for monthly activity, they can serve well enough for one-on-one conversations that would not take place in person, or that might not otherwise require an in-game post.
