IMBARGO ACT UPDATE: as a group of someones had predicted, more countries (after heated dialogue in their respective governments) have signed onto the legislation barring imPorts from entering their borders. This is the same group of someones who had cracked a code a ways back, a certain code found on a Vulcanus ship.

But this is looking pretty dire, ladies and gents. The most prevalent argument is that imPorts have already disrespected the ImBargo Act so far, and "swing" nations who were previously fairly "neutral" decided to take a stance. Norway, Russia, Italy and Ghana have now entered the ImBargo'd Nations. The recent riot outside City Hall (which escalated pretty scarily, thanks to Daken and Quentin and some Scarecrow-brand fear toxin) has embittered recent local opinion.

And someone wants to take advantage of that local opinion.

There will be four buses that are initially meant to explode in various parts of the City, with each bus for one borough (except for Staten Island, which doesn't get a death bus). These buses are rigged to explode violently, and anyone inside will be a casualty. The plan is to inspire fear and panic and create a fresh City human toll right off the heels of the ImBargo Act gaining ground. The individual in charge of this plan has strategically placed their agents around the areas of detonation. The jobs of these agents is to immediate inspire mob mentality against imPorts. That's the plan.

HOWEVER.

Lachesis thinks this plan is boring. BORING. Too straitlaced for her taste, really, and what's a girl to do when all your little pawns are cornered on the chessboard? You cheat, of course! So she, being omnipotent since January 2011, is going to cheat a little. Oh, that Lachesis.

THREE of the FOUR buses WILL NOT EXPLODE. THREE of the FOUR buses will instead have some wacky shenanigans happen to any imPort that happens to be within a mile radius of that bus (assuming the player wants them to participate). At 11:54 AM on Tuesday the 21st, imPorts will be drawn to the buses in question and teleported inside of them (excepting the exploding one, of course, because that's silly).

This is what will happen to the buses:

ONE will explode. Those who are assigned to this bus, you must be the heroes that the City demands. The damage will carve a hole in the street, and civilians are at risk for debris/fires/etc.

ONE will transport its imPorts to the demon dimension until midnight. Envision Dante's Inferno as the setting, but with the twist that ANYTHING YOU IMAGINE WILL MANIFEST IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE. Aw yeah.

ONE will yank imPorts inside of it and with a LOUD SCREECHING NOISE, it will infect imPort minds with radio signals, songs, dialogue, AND IMPORTANT PLOT-RELATED INFORMATION THAT VULCANUS DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW for the rest of that day. There is no way to turn this off for the entire day. I will distribute that information on this post to the individuals once sign-ups have closed.

ONE will yank imPorts inside of it and induce a week-long power switch. From Tuesday 12 PM to the following Tuesday at 12 PM, characters will have their powers switched with another. For the sake of ease, I will be coupling by who signs up when. For example, if Character A signs up and Character B signs up below her, then their powers will be switched. If there is an odd number, the last three will have their powers switched as a trio.

Oh, yes, and one more thing: while I've told you what the buses are going to do, well. I'm not going to tell you which bus does what. You won't know until sign-ups are closed.

I wrote this up. Under Raven is Gil's explained power. There's also the PH wiki for it, though I haven't read it in a while so it might not have a lot of information! TL;DR, Raven is a huge bird that's actually pretty deadly if not used properly, but invoking it in the first place is exhausting and will make the user tired. You can choose how you want to play that, since Gil is a trained Contractor and Kenzi isn't, etc. Aaaand she'll probably be the bearer of this necklace while she's a Contractor. IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT SHE DOESN'T BREAK OR LOSE IT... skfjse or else Gil will just effectively be powerless forever in game because canon hasn't clarified if it can be repaired or anything.

His game power is power sensing. His left hand starts to pain him when someone uses their powers nearby. (Gil doesn't know he has this power...)

And anything else, I think Gil will ICly explain when he realizes Kenzi is the one who has his power.

Odds are Kenzi won't be able to use Raven and uh...oh boy. She might try to pawn that necklace. >_>

She might accidentally figure out the power sensing though.

We can log something later on if you'd like! AS LONG AS IT ISN'T BROKEN, I should emphasize, is the most important thing IC. Gil would be furious though because he has this whole ~dramatic back story~ and all. :')

They don't really clarify in canon about Chains and whatnot, but maybe she'll pick up there's definitely something powerful and potentially frightening? However you want to do it!
