On April 27th & 28th the City will literally become an urban jungle.
While in the City, Fred and George Weasely ran a magic joke shop called Weasley Wizard Wheezes, and upon their ex-porting, Doctor Stephen Strange inherited most of the shop's inventory. The twins had also taken it upon themselves to use Stephen's cupboards for storage purposes. It is while rummaging through his cupboard that Doctor Strange finds some old and unusual looking board games, and thinking that they are merely children's toys, he offers them up via the Network to any imPorts who want to take them off his hands. But little does he know, he has just distributed several magical copies of Jumanji to unsuspecting imPorts.
Jumanji, for anyone who is out of the loop, is a magical board game that unleashed the chaos of the jungle onto the people playing the game. There was a children's book and later a film based around it.
"Do not begin unless you intend to finish," is the warning the game gives, but one that isn't heeded by the imPort players. On one night, players gather in groups of four across the City to play the game and wreak havoc across the night. Examples of events that can stem from the game: a stampede of large African animals, being turned into a monkey, getting chased by bats, or getting sucked into the board game itself. The game must be played to completion, otherwise the effects will remain, and the first person to reach the end and yell "Jumanji!" wins.
How will this work? I am so glad you asked! Doctor Strange will have four (**or more, if there is enough demand) copies of the game to distribute. The characters who have claimed the games will ICly host or arrange a game night (all of which just happen to take place at the same time.) Each game night will have it's own thread within the log. The threads will be DMed by either Yami, Georgia, or Ali. Whenever a turn is taken, the DM will reveal the new obstacle facing the players who must then defeat or avoid the obstacle in order to win the game.
The animals and mayhem from the game have the potential to run wild during the night, allowing other non-participants to engage with animals, hunters, and other jungle oddities until all the games are finished at some point the next day. Basically it will be a night of tribal drums and stampedes until "Jumanji!" has been yelled enough times to stop the magic.
Following this, the copies of the game can either be destroyed or set aside or have whatever done with them by the characters who now possess them.
