Yee-haw, heroes.

That is the text you will be getting via your communicators sometime during October 23rd. It is from Lachesis, and it plays prelude to the fourth and final off-world chapter. At high noon on October 24th, you will be transported to a world set in the Wild West, and specifically ported into a town called Capers. Now, Capers is an unusual town in that despite being technologically locked into the early nineteenth century, its human populace is very used to transdimensional travelers from a particular mostly-human pocket of the multiverse. In fact, Capers has a system to easily integrate newcomers who newly come. This means that the Town Mayor of Capers, Mr. Eisner, will designate a Wild West role to your character, which will be RNG'd by the mods for you. The list of all possible roles will be listed below.

You have the choice to either embrace your arbitrarily designated Capers role, or you can reject it. However, if you reject your role, you will face difficulties in the society. The easier path is to accept your roles. Below is a list of benefits and difficulties that you can experience through accepting or rejecting your roles, respectively.

Another thing about Capers: all non-human animals in the town of Capers are dinosaurs. Horses are actually dinosaurs, rodents are actually tinier dinosaurs, cows are actually edible dinosaurs. There is no restriction on what dinosaurs you may see; Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous pullpoints are all up for grabs.

Last weird thing about Capers: while the native residents are normal humans, many traveling individuals are Vulcanus Metamen. Not all of these Metamen HAVE to be HUMAN, but they will appear humanlike. These Metamen have all been imbued with ONE SUPERPOWER, and they have come here with a purpose! That purpose? BATTLING YOU! Specifically you. At dusk on October 28th, the Metamen will attack specific imPorts in an all-out brawl that will last until dawn of the 29th. This means you can use OLD TIMEY GUNS or POWERS or DINOSAURS in epic battle. You can kill Metamen, or you can get killed (but as a reminder: all deaths MUST be cleared through the plot post as per usual).

But how will a Metaman target specifically you? You will be randomly assigned a Metaman that has been conceived by a fellow player. When you sign-up, you MUST fill out a METAMAN FORM before you get assigned a random role. You will create this NPC Metaman, and that NPC will be assigned to another character. Your Metaman won't attack you until the dusk on the 28th (in which there will be a timely thread for that adventure within the main log), but they can stalk you, or taunt you, or challenge you to whiskey shots.

This final chapter is about who. Who are you, imPort?

Notes in short:
- You will have your communicator with you.
- The bulk of the plot will be in a self-contained log, but you can make your own logs too.
- If you want to organize something big, like a stampede of Tyrannosaurus Rex, you can. But do the plotting for it in this post.
- Plot runs from noon October 24th to noon October 29th.
- Residents of Capers will find you appropriate clothing for your roles.
- Nothing but your clothes and your communicator will be ported in with you. You WILL have all your powers (or any paraphernalia that your powers require to work, as an exception to the former rule).
- You CANNOT BRING BACK DINOSAURS FROM CAPERS if -- oh yes, there is an if -- IF they are bigger than you are.
- You can sign up more than one character.

In terms of different species for the metamen! Is it more of a sky's the limit kind of thing, or are we restricted to skrulls as the species before their human appearance if we go that route?

Am I correct in assuming characters won't be able to pre-empt their nemeses by tackling them before the 28th?

Also, would Mordin's omni-tool (necessary for applying the medi-gel his power generates, but also a weapon) be allowed as excepted paraphernalia for the 'nothing but clothes and communicators' rule?

METAMAN AGENT NAME: Shadow Swarm
APPEARANCE: A humanoid male dressed like a ninja, head to toe in black with a mask over his face and a cowl over his head. His eyes are unusually large, black, and fishy, since he is in fact a native of the water world TiraForsae, which is why he never speaks or shows his face!
POWER: Self-duplication- Shadow Swarm can generate infinite copies of himself to outnumber his opponent. In true ninja fashion, the more of him there are, the weaker and less skilled they all become.
EXCEEDINGLY BRIEF PERSONALITY: Mute, relentless, show-off, stalker.

APPEARANCE: A bland-faced, perpetually smiling man who dresses like an undertaker and sports a wide-brimmed black hat. In his true form he is a Skrull!
POWER: Necromancy- Bone Rattler can animate and control nearby dead flesh. Including the contents of the local graveyard. Possibly including dead dinosaurs.

APPEARANCE: A curvaceous blonde woman who works as a prostitute at the local saloon/brothel. She dresses flamboyantly and flirts with most men even when not on the job.
POWER: Parasitic Empowerment - she can absorb other people's energy to significantly increase her strength and speed, as well as moderately heal herself. She can 'store' this energy for future use (and has been doing so with the men she's been servicing up until the confrontation) but once she utilizes it she'll need to replenish herself or risk losing her abilities.
EXCEEDINGLY BRIEF PERSONALITY: Flirtatious, playful, clever, overconfident.

APPEARANCE: Dark-skinned woman with black hair. Always wears sunglasses to cover her black, multifaceted eyes. Otherwise prefers yellows and golds in clothing.
POWER: Bees? Well, she can act like one, giving an opponent a very painful 'sting' at a touch. Technically it's neurological disruption and, at the right spot - such as the spine - it can cripple and/or kill a victim.
EXCEEDINGLY BRIEF PERSONALITY: Arrogant. Refined. Bossy. Soft side for 'babees' and small children. And yes, makes as many bee puns as she can.

METAMAN AGENT NAME: Charity (and Prudence), the "Two-Headed Nightingale"
APPEARANCE: Striking, identical women dressed in matching clothing, Charity and Prudence are literally joined at the hip. The bright colors of their costumes are a testament to their occupation as professional entertainers, though it's said that the beauty of their voices is matched by the sharpness of their wit. The occasional beau they take to their bed also has to contend with the bristling array of knives they keep strapped to their legs under their voluminous skirts.
POWER: Sound Manipulation: Charity takes the upper range, while Prudence takes the lower range. Together, the sisters wield their voices with deadly precision, capable of generating precision bursts of sound that hit like physical blows at long range, or hold notes to bring their opponents to their knees.
EXCEEDINGLY BRIEF PERSONALITY: Enigmatic, contrary, flamboyant, playful.

METAMAN AGENT NAME: Andrea Bergman.
APPEARANCE: Tall and very thin, with long, pale blonde hair and green eyes. She has freckles across her nose and cheeks and wears glasses. She tends to wear simple dresses and twinsets in pale colours, and she's usually smiling. She looks sweet and unassuming, a picture-perfect soccer mom type.
POWER: Animal transformation - she can change herself into any animal, including dinosaurs, but excluding mythological or magical creatures. She can become any type of animal, but can only turn into one version of that animal. She would always turn into the same black cat, the same spotted dog, etc. This means that she cannot change into other humans, since her 'one version' of a human is herself. Additionally she does not change either her age or her gender, so she couldn't turn into a male kitten - just a female cat. When transformed she can use all of the faculties of whatever animal she's become, gaining all of their strengths and weaknesses, and she can change from one animal to another without needing to revert to human in between.
EXCEEDINGLY BRIEF PERSONALITY: Polite, sweet, sadistic, violent.
