As of 4am... the Skrull body that was being studied in the Avengers lab... is at the bottom of the Hudson River. You can thank Quicksilver and Mockingbird for this. This is what happens when these two are left alone together.

The abduction of the corpse is still being logged, but anyone who wants to notice that the body is missing can feel free. Any and all samples and work materials related to studying the corpse that may have been in the lab were left untouched. Just the body is missing.  c:

Hello, your friendly reporter-mun here; yes, I'm technically still on hiatus--

--but I love this skrull shit, man, you guys are so awesome. And since I was asked to news hound--well, how can I refuse to work my magic?

However, I look like I've been punched in the face, and am not feeling so hot accordingly! (I have not been in fact punched in the face, just the regular EXTREME SINUS INFECTION). However, I will be doing as-close-to-live-coverage as I can manage with Roxanne Ritchi, who is certifiably insane in pursuit of a story.

If you could please LINK IMPORTANT DETAILS YOU WANT COVERED in post (shit that should be seen, things you think are particularly awesome) so that I can have her cover it in her post (which will get comment updates as things go by for ROCKING LIVE COVERAGE), it would make my life much more easy and make highlight your character's righteous moment of awesome glory that much easier.

As of 9am this morning, Cassie Holmes is dead. [Mourners please omit flowers.]

After the horrible-terrible-no-good Town Hall meeting, Cassie escaped into art land and picked this morning to play hookey from school and go to MoMA. Where she was promptly killed in this morning's attack.

With all the chaos, it's likely that no one's going to miss her until tomorrow morning when all the dust clears. After that, her body will be identified by the NPC detectives and Scatty notified. I imagine this conversation happening in the morgue:

Detective #1: Isn't this that psychic girl, the one that predicts some of the crazy shit that goes down here?
Detective #2: Yes, yes she is, partner, but I tell you what - [puts on sunglasses] - she didn't see this coming.

YEEEEEEEEAHHHHHHHHHH!

Anyway, she'll be back on the 9th REALLY PISSED OFF and highly traumatized.
