Hello everyone! There's been some discussion both ICly in game and OOCly about ways that imPorts can take a stand against Vulcanus that aren't necessarily through fighting/battle means. A few ideas have been floated. Here's some ideas that have come up so far:

- A presentation to the United Nations
- A series of PSAs featuring imPort celebrities and native celebrities sympathetic to imPort causes
- Letters to newspapers/a series of op-ed pieces
- A pro-imPort march or rally
- imPort Con: a convention featuring imPorts from various walks of life, highlighting their individual contributions to the world, both great and small, featuring demonstrations, panels, as well as interviews with imPorts about their lives in the City
- imPort Telethon: a widely broadcast telethon hosted by imPorts featuring performances and presentations, allowing Cityzens to call and interact with imPorts while raising funds for charity

So far our ideas have focused heavily on winning over hearts and minds in an attempt to prevent anti-imPort sympathies from spreading, but it certainly doesn't have to be limited to this agenda! I'd like to really gauge interest in some of these ideas, see what others we can come up with, and hopefully get the ball rolling on some neat plot ideas that can involve a wide variety of characters! I look forward to seeing what ideas we can come up with and hope we can pursue any of them that seems viable! c:

Hello everyone! Thanks to Han's forever girl, Jenny, the exterior/hull of the Millennium Falcon is right on the Carrier!

But, what this means is that while Han is absolutely ecstatic, he's Han Solo.

( because gifs are the only way to explain how bad he is with engineering. )

As these specs of the Falcon show, Han has a lot to put in and if you guys had characters that were interested in doing stuff with it, everyone is free to help out: whether it's interior design, the hyperdrives or even just being like HOLY SHIT IT'S THE FALCON. It's open to everyone on the Carrier and planetside!

Alright!

So way back in January, I started brainstorming on the potential for a gang war/street level hero kind of plot. To that end, I created this map outlining various territories (the red being Red Hood, the burgundy being Daredevil, green is Zero's Children, and the magenta is Catman). Naturally, that's all a little out of date now and characters have left or come into the game.

As such, I think it's probably a good idea to brainstorm for a new one! I'd love it if I could get the gist of the gangs running around the City, as well as the street level heroes who regularly patrol particular areas. I'll be using MTA (subway) maps like the one in the sample to make a visual reference. Also! If you need any help with NYC geography, feel free to ask and I'll help you sort it out.

I want to strongly encourage overlapping territories (I mean, just think of all the epic gangwar CR you can have), and discussion on this post. And if anybody has a way to make a legit (maybe weekend or week long) plot out of it, let's talk about it!

Hello C&C! June 16th will be the annual Xavier Institute Prom! As in the past, admission to the prom is open to all imPorts in good legal standing (as well as NPC students and such) and will be held on the Xavier Campus. So basically anyone is welcome to attend, which means it's time to start planning the prom! Students and teens are encouraged to attend and adults are encouraged to chaperone! There will be DJ, punch, snacks, and the sprawling Xavier campus to crash!

Last year's theme was 'A Knight To Remember', and we're hoping to have a theme again this year. Any and all suggestions are welcome and there will be a poll to determine the winning theme as the date approaches.

It's also been suggested that we have a prom king and queen. You can nominate characters as prom king and queen in this post and there will be a poll in advance of the prom to crown our monarchs!

I want to apologize to everyone for taking an unintended hiatus this week. Class and life got the better of me and I've been wiped out. I guess expecting to have the energy to tag after a day of framing walls was a bit optimistic. I should have known better and I'm sorry I've left anyone waiting on tags from me. I'll be getting to them as soon as I can tonight.

Now on to that copcast stuff I mentioned in the subject. This is actually something I meant to have up Monday night, but well exhaustion won out. Anyway here goes.

So with Jack's departure the Cops are short a lot of imports and not enjoying the best of reputations right now. They're also stuck with Seras as the highest ranking Import cop who really isn't the best person for the job during these sort of times. Still, she's going to try to do her job the best she can. Now what I'd like to hear from my fellow copcast and the game at large is ideas of what we can do with this situation. Should copcast end up becoming a part of the DOI assigned to the city PD? Should the cops have a plot where they regain some respect with the public, or should they have a plot were they have to deal with all that backlash coming to a head? Let's brainstorm people!

One thing I do definetly want to do, which is very minor I know but I like it, is to have Seras ask Agatha to build some her little clanks to help around HQ with paperwork and the like. What do you all think?

Oh and if anyone wants to complain about the cops, or offer help IC I have an open log set up here.

Mr. Pinkerton sure has been doing a lot of good lately, hasn't he? That nice fundraiser, the charity he started... but you can't have the good without the bad, especially when you have Floyd's tendency toward Good Life Decisions.

Some of Pink's native friends, they don't feel quite as warm and fuzzy toward imPorts as he does. In fact, they'd really like nothing more than to see them all gone. And, well, after another of his conversations with the Major, Pink is going to encourage them to send a message to that end.

Now that Ian's back from con, he and Jesse bring you a mini-plot! To make a long story short, the Major has reaaaaalllyy wanted to kill the vampire Alucard for over sixty years. Even though he sort-of accomplished this at the time he was Ported in, now that Alucard's in the City he wants to keep at it! Toward this end he intends to spam Alucard with every possible ImPort he can hire, convince, or manipulate to take a shot at him (and maybe the world's unluckiest NPC hitmen on top of it). He has already begun sounding out possible assassins ICly, and will post once this plot is approved to start things off.

It should be noted that the reason the Major has been at this for so long is that Alucard is very, very, very hard to kill. And that attempts at fighting him tend to end like this (Link NSFW due to violence and blood and horrifying vampire). The Major is hoping that Alucard will tear apart the people sent after him, preferably on television while laughing maniacally. The Major expects this would make Alucard a bunch of heroic enemies who would then go after him while the Major laughs, eats popcorn and sets his TiVO. Whether any of this will unfold as the Major plans is another matter entirely.

This post is for sounding out who would be interested in sending their characters up against an ancient undead killing machine at the behest of a Nazi seeking cannon fodder, and to figure out how the resulting fights would play out. We'll submit a plot proposal based on what gets decided on here and go from there. Let me know if there are any questions!

Well, it had to happen eventually. After two very eventful years with the City Police Department, Captain Jack Bauer’s career is going to be ruined and he is about to go rogue. He’s done a lot of things in the course of his missions that range from questionable to flagrantly illegal to oh god so much death. It’s all about to come tumbling out, just as he hits a breaking point from the stresses and failures of his situation. This post is for brainstorming 1) How this will all happen and 2) What will happen to the police force with Jack gone. After I’ve got a plan from this post I’ll submit the proposal to the mods and get this scheduled.

1) My current rough plan is as follows: The inciting incident for all this is an upcoming raid by Jack and Seras against the Zero’s Children gang, which is going to wrap up a lot of plot threads left over from Jack’s open log in January. The raid will go bad and result in a scandal for the police force, focusing on Jack.

What I’m looking for is a character or character(s) to aid in this investigation and dig up Jack’s dirty laundry, which has all been hidden as well as a seasoned black ops guy can hide something. If people are interested, this may escalate into a public inquiry where characters give testimony, lawyers get involved demanding the truth, and Jack tells them they can’t handle the truth. None of Jack's accomplices in illegal activities will be exposed by this plot unless their players want them to- Jack will not give up his allies, no matter what.

2) At any rate, Jack As Cop will be pretty finished after this. He’s been the public face and main contact of the police with Imports for about a year now, so this will be a bit of an adjustment. ICly the NPC Commissioner will remain in charge of the overall force, and the cop-canon in the community will remain current. This post is for figuring out how the C.P.D. will be run after, both IC and OOC. Hopefully not too much will have to change!

Welcome to the resolution. This is the penultimate post for the Skrullplot, the last (which will be ~~either Monday or Tuesday~~ WEDNESDAY I GUESS) will sum up events and detail the atmosphere of the conclusion.

Both Namoraskrull and Pietroskrull broke the secret that Vulcanus took your pals. Vulcanus, as explained by Namoraskrull, has a SPACE BASE and that's where your fellow imports are being held. Yes, they are presently IN SPAAAAACE.

What to know about the Vulcanus Space Base:
- It is orbiting the Earth.
- It's the size of a city block.
- It is under the protection of a cloaking device, that's why nobody knew about it until now.
- It is NOT heavily manned. There are 14 Vulcanus agents TOTAL manning the ship. Most of them are engineers.
- It does have laser canons set on auto-defense, so try not to come swooping at it.
- One Vulcanus agent will try to destroy any information stored in the secret space base, but ONE DOCUMENT will survive.

What to know about the kidnapped imports:
- Some might be ported out for canon updates. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THEM please note that here, to discuss how you want to situate that detail into the plot.
- They are stored in the hull of the ship.
- There was never a skrull in the hull after all.
- They're all unconscious and have been since the 15th, and they're all strapped uncomfortably to a metal slab table. They're all hooked to feeding IVs.
- Except Namora because she's in a fluid tank.
- They won't wake up unless you wake them up.

- Vulcanus uses macs.
- I will not give hints on the code.

- This code is plot-relevant for the over-arching Vulcanus storyline.

How do we get up there?
You have some options. You can arrange a space-suitable vehicle of your own, you can enlist magical types to help, you can use your powers to transport if they're applicable powers, you can steal a spaceship from NASA, you can bring the spaceship to Earth without ever leaving the stratosphere. Or you can create your own solution. THE RESCUE LOG IS NOT GOING UP UNTIL LATE SUNDAY so use this time to ICly and OOCly organize.

Remember, anyone who is interested in going to space can. Now is the time to get involved.

Feel free to use this post to organize. If you do not wish to get involved with the rescue mission, there are certainly other things to do. In addition, both Ghost and Beast have noted something funny about the communicators. If you want to start some clean-up efforts for Times Square, please do!

Hello, Cityzens! As some of your characters may be aware, Zoidberg's porter-granted power is to know what species a character is just by looking at them, no matter how they are disguised. So he can tell robots, mutants, vampires, zombies, aliens, etc. from real humans on sight! But since that would spoil the fun of not knowing who is a Skrull and who isn't, his powers will be on the fritz for the duration of the Skrull plot!

What does this mean?

Well, it means that his powers could incorrectly ping people as being Skrulls! But I don't want to step on toes and just have him flinging accusations at people who are not interested in that sort of thing, so this post is a post to gage interest in being called out at some point in the coming weeks. So if you'd be interested in this sort of thing, please let me know! :)
