New to the game? New characters? Just a little unsure of how you're doing? That's what this is here for, people.

How it works: Comment here - others will reply to that comment with what they have to say, and hopefully many lulz and happifuntimes will be had. We're encouraging asking questions if you don't know why or how a character got to the point they're at in game, and we're encouraging constructive criticism that isn't:

"Oh, you're so good bb!"
or
"I hate you. Diaf."

So make it good! You only get one shot every other month, right? At any rate, before you go off to comment, remember: You will get comments you agree with, and you will get comments you don't agree with; thus is the way of life. Don't take it personal. Don't get angry and start trolling. These people don't have anything against you as a person — unless, uh, they do, which we won't abide by — and we're all here to have fun, right? So let's act like it.

Anonymous comments have been temporarily enabled in the OOC community for the sake of anonymous crit, but as this privilege was abused last time and the moderators had to intervene, as promised this time around we are keeping logging IP on. We will not be checking the IP-addresses unless things get out of hand, nor will we be sharing them ever, but this is a measure in place to help prevent further abuse of anonymous commenting. If this causes discomfort, most players, as well as the mods, have personal HMDs on their journals. You are also free to contact any moderators privately or by PMing this account.

Other comments? Jack's in a very different and complicated place right now. Being Ported out and then back in has sort of caused two different trains of character development to crash into each other for him. He's fighting to reconcile his Cityverse history with what happened back home, and it's shifted his character a bit in ways I'm still learning to portray. So please let me know if anything seems off there!

I just wanted to provide a bit of feedback re: the war games plot. I've enjoyed watching this plot unfold, however I feel like having only a week's notice for this plot wasn't adequate enough considering the widespread destruction and consequences that are being played out. I know myself and others have had to put off plans we'd made for this weekend because the tone of the logs or posts we'd intended to make would run completely counter to the other events happening in game. I can't ICly justify having my characters stick to the plots/plans I had pre-established because of how this plot is playing out. I can't speak for anyone but me, but I know I would have appreciated more than one week of warning with a plot this all consuming. Thank you for taking the time to consider this. As I said, I'm enjoying following the plot, but I'd just have preferred a longer time frame for it.

Thank you for the feedback, and I'm glad you've enjoyed watching the plot! You're right, now that I think of it I can easily see how one week's preparation wouldn't have been sufficient for people who already had plans. I decided to put the initial plot post up toward the tail end of the Roadtrip plot to avoid overlap, but in retrospect more advance notice would have been much better for people in your position.

I apologize for inconveniencing you, and will be certain to give more warning the next time I do a City-wider. Thank you again!
