ACTIVITY CHECK (Month of February)

Oh hey look it's March finally. What's up, March?! Since it's the first of the month, it means it's time for Activity Check.

First up, a brief overview of our Activity Standards:

For REGULAR ACTIVITY STANDARDS (that's almost everyone), you need a combination of any TWO of the following (DUPLICATES OKAY):
● Post in capeandcowl
● Post in capeandcowllogs
● Equivalent participation in a joint post (as originally posted by a different character)
● capeandcowllogs comment thread: 5+ comments total, at least 3 from your character specifically.
● capeandcowl comment thread: 15+ comments total, at least 8 from your character specifically.

For ACTIVITY WARNING STANDARDS (you know who you are!), look at the above list, make a combination of THREE of them, where duplicates are okay with the exception of the last bullet, which you can only use once. (Additionally, solo logs and news posts don't count.)

If you were on FULL HIATUS for 7 days or longer, or the character was accepted AFTER February 15th, they are EXEMPT.

Getting on with it, the following ACTIVITY WARNING STATUS characters have not yet met their requirements:

If you can prove your activity in posts, logs, and up to one comment thread in the main community, the character will be marked as passed. Otherwise, they will be dropped from the game.

Hey guys, good news and sad news.

The good news is that my life is taking me in a new direction, and I'm currently in the process of opening a retail clothing store with a really good friend of mine. We've been wanting to do this for a while, and we're finally actively taking the steps to put together our business plan, get some financing, find a space for lease, etc.

The sad news is that even though we're still only in the initial stages and we've not yet even gotten to the "dear god, what happened to the rest of my life, I'm sure I had one" stage, I've been so sporadic with tags that I've been unable to make activity two months in a row. Playing in two games just isn't manageable at the moment (and at some point I might have to stop playing around on the internet at all), so something's got to give.

That something, I'm afraid, is CnC.

So Ianto Jones is on his way out. And because Ianto knew from the beginning that his time here could be cut short at any moment, he's taken some precautions in the event of his untimely porting out. Zatanna will find a note at the bottom of the inbox in his office telling her how much he enjoyed working for her and how much he appreciated her friendship. Stapled to the back will be a short list of recommendations of other imports potentially suited to take over his job (feel free to handwave this as you like).

Jack Harkness will find a letter somewhere in Ianto's things. Its details are much more personal and private, but he's going to ask you to store his stuff somewhere, Jack, just in case he comes back one day. There will also be a letter to the Doctor asking him to take care of Jack, and a letter addressed to all the people he knows in general with good wishes.

And now that I have that angst out of the way, I want to say I've had a lot of fun here and I'll miss you guys. ♥ :'(

Q & A

Greetings, Cape & Cowl.

The character I bring you is Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Q is a member of an omnipotent and immortal species that hail from the Q Continuum. They call themselves Q and are all named Q, but this one in particular is the Q played by actor John de Lancie. This particular Q is a little more open-minded and heavy-handed with interacting with humans and uses his powers liberally when dealing with them. His powers have been toned down some for C&C, but he is still quite powerful and can manipulate space and time mostly on whim.

Since Q can't do anything like a normal person, he's devised an interesting way to introduce himself to the game. ( There's a plot under this cut and it needs some volunteers. )

So remember how there was a skrull invasion and characters were replaced by little green men??

Yeah!

Well, Loki thought that was funny, and so he has killed a few (three-ish?) NPCs and magicked their bodies to look like skrull corpses! And dropped them in random City locations for imPorts to find. All in the name of spreading fun and paranoia. I am posting this to let everyone know that Loki has done this, and to see if anyone wants their character to find one of these lovely fakeskrull corpses.

ETA: three corpses have been claimed!!

Hey, guys, this plot was approved a while ago, but I wanted to wait to post so I didn't overwhelm anyone with it! This is, of course, an optional event, so if you want to ignore this, feel free to!

To make a long story short, James Bond is a frustrating jerkhole, nostalgia is a powerful thing, and Zatanna makes questionable choices when feeling vulnerable. After a long night of drinking on her lonesome, she muttered an off-hand I hsiw nem t'nerew hcus skrej (or, for those who are backwards-reading impaired: I wish men weren't such jerks).

If you play a male character (or a character that identifies as male), they will be a perfect gentleman toward the ladies. It will vary at the player's discretion, but the dudes of the City will begin to suppress any desire to do things that would be considered "inappropriate," in regard to whatever situation they're in.

It's very isolated so it will not be obvious that the men of the City are acting strangely, just that some dudes you know might be going out of their way to be a little more considerate than usual.


This will be occurring a little after 3 AM on MARCH 11th and will end on the evening of MARCH 17th when she realizes that things are a little off with James and notices trace amounts of her magic having been used on him. After approaching the jerkbag, she'll set things right.

Hey everyone! My name's Ashley and I'm brand new here! I'm bringing Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia. Things to notice upon first meeting: he's a huge flirt with the ladies, goofs off and teases people a lot, makes an idiot of himself!

Of course it's all an act, so more observant characters are free to notice that.

He has a more useless super power that involves him getting items from ladies which is explained over here and completely optional! It's just a joke on game mechanics sob.

But that aside it's good to be here and I look forward to playing with everyone!

As it's been mentioned... Pietro Maximoff is dead for a canon-update. He'll be back on Saturday, March 3rd, in the early evening. He'll also be current with continuity as of Avengers Academy #26

Pietro will be keeping his City-memories and have the same powers. The last thing he'll immediately remember from the City, is a vague sense of waking up somewhere he didn't belong.
