Plot! Where there is a field trip and the Magic School Bus got nothing on Aurican

Okay, I've been talking about it since FOREVER on plurk, so might as well kick it into gear.

Aurican is going to get bored coming to and from his Catskills Mountains home to the City. And when he gets bored, he goes exploring.

This means a field trip exploring all the United States mainland! And this is where your characters come in: Aurican isn't quite informative about US cultures and such, so he might need a guide or several on places to go, where to sleep, and what is not for eating. In canon, he can fit three people on his back. I'm going to add in a fourth rider because he's a big guy, another person isn't going to kill his back. So here will be a list of people who will be his riders.

1. Carrie Kelley
2. Terry McGinnis
3. Calvin
4. Terry Ward

Of course, this will require a saddle or some kind of restraint as well, even if the elves seem perfectly happy to ride him bareback. Anyone handy in that sort of thing? Aurican will pay your character back eventually.

Those who want to be part of the trip but the list is full or your character is afraid of heights? They can tag along in a car, or any form of transportation they feel comfortable with. Aurican can fly, but he can fly slow enough for your characters to follow. Or he and the riders can just meet up to your character to wherever place they are visiting. It's up to you!

I'm going to make a network post about him making his trip and asking for suggestions as to where to go, and eventually I will put up a log. Time-wise, this trip might take two and a half weeks, but if your character needs to quit the trip for whatever reason, Auri will try to help out however he can, depending where they are.

EDIT: Another dragon joins the trip! If Auri's slots are full or you just want to hang with a bronze dragon instead, you're in luck! Crucible can only carry four people as well.

as you might have already noticed i have been basically nonexistent/slow for a while and this is because real life situations make it so everything big and momentous clumps together in a giant bundle of awfully busy for a couple of weeks

So, with Terana's announcement yesterday, I'm sure a lot of you knew this was just a matter of time. We live and work together, so my life has taken the same sudden turns and changes, as well. This leaves me working far more and with far less time and focus for rp. I want to keep going and to tell myself that I can keep up, but I've proven myself wrong here too many times, and I've only gotten busier since.

Rather than string people along and leave threads hanging with all you wonderful people and your awesome characters, it's time I bow out. When and if things settle back down around here, this will be the first game I look to re-join. If anyone needs any questions answered, threads tied up, or character closure just let me know here and I'll take care of things.

I'll still be around a bit on plurk and in memes. I do hope we find time to get back into the game again eventually, just not sure right now when that will be.

My name is Ash! I'm the newest of new and came to CnC after seeing how awesome people on my plurk list made it sound. I've been out of the RP scene for a while, so forgive me if I'm a little rusty on game semantics.

I'll be bringing in Dean Winchester from Supernatural. For those who don't know him, he's a douchebag who hunts the things that go bump in the night with his brother. Occasional cameos by demons and angels. His canon point is from the end of season seven!

Since I don't yet have his app posted in his journal, I'll cover a couple things in the intro post! His super powers consist of defense magic, unlimited ammo, and being followed by theme music whenever he enters a room/drives a car/gets in a fight/etc. c:

Hey everyone! I've got family from Calgary showing up in the morning and wedding stuff throughout this week, so I'm on semi-hiatus until August 20th. I may actually be back before, but I'm not sure how long anyone is staying. I'll still try to tag into some things though I might be slow, just as a heads up.

Godmode rights for Gil go to Jess Drew and Natasha. Kate is ICly out of the country with Nill from the 10th till 17th, so Iola gets godmode rights. If you need me for anything, e-mail and PMing is your safest bet.

For my sanity, and to give heads-up to all of you, I should have called this hiatus sooner. For that, I apologize. But due to some fairly significant work upheaval (new boss, new offices) and the start of our super-busy season, combined with Avengers v. X-Men ANGST!RAGE!WTF! for Rachel and some voice wavering for Cassie, I desperately need to call a long hiatus to get my head back on straight.

Both are being pulled out of the City until the end of the month at least, maybe longer depending on what AvX is doing and whether or not I decide to update Rachel. Basically, everyone will probably think they've just gone home.

I'm sure Scatty will keep all of Cassie's things (including Bot the robo-dog) safe, but if you're someone she talks with semi-regularly, you'll probably get an automated text message after she's been gone a few days.

Rachel's leaving the cats to Katie (and Alex) and a note promising to come back if she can. Kurt and Hank will get similar notes.
