New to the game? New characters? Just a little unsure of how you're doing? That's what this is here for, people.

How it works: Comment here - others will reply to that comment with what they have to say, and hopefully many lulz and happifuntimes will be had. We're encouraging asking questions if you don't know why or how a character got to the point they're at in game, and we're encouraging constructive criticism that isn't:

"Oh, you're so good bb!"
or
"I hate you. Diaf."

So make it good! You only get one shot every other month, right? At any rate, before you go off to comment, remember: You will get comments you agree with, and you will get comments you don't agree with; thus is the way of life. Don't take it personal. Don't get angry and start trolling. These people don't have anything against you as a person — unless, uh, they do, which we won't abide by — and we're all here to have fun, right? Anonymous comments have been temporarily enabled in the OOC community for the sake of anonymous crit, but as this privilege was abused last time and the moderators had to intervene, as promised we are keeping logging IP on. Other comments? Eridan has been in the game for well over a year now, and has gone through a lot of development in that time! I know there's been some concern regarding him suffering consequences for his actions - following Karkat's upcoming murder, Eridan will be killed, and whatever happens afterwards (i.e. whether or not the trolls take Eridan's involvement to the authorities) is up to them!
On the other hand, Kasumi was just very recently network introed! She's a very new muse for me, so if anyone has commentary on how I'm doing so far, I'd love to hear it.

And on a more personal basis, I was critted in the recentish past about those weird long spans of not being around followed by brief activity where I was difficult to get threads out of - so if that anon is reading this, if they could let me know if I've gotten any better recently, I would appreciate it!

Hi Haley, I just wanted to raise an issue that I am having with Charles. I am finding Charles to be very insular. I do not see much of him outside of threads with Erik, or with a few specific people. It could be something that you haven't been conscious of so I wanted to raise it to help with Charles in the game.

In XMFC Charles takes a keen interest in mutants and their powers and the training of the younger mutants. He is also concerned for their safety and development. In the City, I have not seen this side of him. Playing Sofia, I find she has not had cr with him since she went insane. The younger mutants have been doing their thing, and going into the fights in the City without the benefit of an X-men team. Charles I feel could have been guiding them.

And that's it...I just feel Charles should be more of larger presence as a leader and mentor, in logs and posts. And I was wondering if you had any plans to do that?

» gwen’s in the middle of goblinplot/trolling shenanigans, so that’s slowly taking its toll. i’ve also been trying to slowly get her in a place where she’s a little more… idk comfortable with herself? making her grow up a little and realize that having walls up all the time is bad to do forever and ever.
» carol i’ve been a little laskdf with the past little bit, but i think that’s slowly fading… i’m also realizing i need to get her more plot-involved otherwise she starts going really stir-crazy so that’s something i’m going to be working on.

I don't mind tagging with Desire, but I think that you should stay aware that you're playing in a collaborative environment, and your character is no longer in the vacuum of its own canon. Being totally unwilling to consider Desire losing anything is very off-putting, especially in a place like C&C where there are other characters with potent reality/mind-altering abilities.

This isn't so much a crit but asking for clarification on Jessica's actions. During the skrull plot Jessica sat with a bag of popcorn, watching the news report and sounded amused. I understand that she takes a more light hearted approach to things to deal with them. However, she had friends out there, and it came across a little to flippant to me.

Reading Samara's tags, I feel like she could shoot me in a very tranquil manner, which does make me feel better about it! You have her voice down pat: completely calm, polite, and scarily uncompromising.

I do have a question about the Code: in Bond's post, Samara said the Code compels her to put killers to death regardless of the reason for their actions, if said actions break the law. I'm wondering if you think that contradicts Samara's actions in her recruitment mission, where she is fine with Shepard taking on the Eclipse mercs to get the information she needs to leave Illium?

(I am mainly asking because I would love for Jack to team up with her sometime, and if Jack's in violation of the Code, well...)

I know you discourage anon so I'll make this short and sweet. I haven’t noticed you tagging people you don’t already know, especially with Rose and Namora. Even She-Hulk feels boxed in with her CR and that makes it difficult for people to work with you. This problem has been going on for some time, and I think something similar has been mentioned before.

Also, it reads like you get stuck over your characters’ reactions to things and then you often resort to default responses. Namora is always condescending, Rose is always sarcastic and on and on. I feel like that hurts the way CR develops, if they always respond to characters in the same way. If you focus on this and branch out a little more I think your playing will improve dramatically.

Other comments? Lust has been in-game for a cumulative disgusting three years, and although it really hasn't changed her that much, she's adapted a tiny... slight... bit. I'm also in a constant state of limbo as to whether or not the way I'm writing that development is totally off-base or not, and any advice on it would be appreciated. I've noticed that your tagging habits are very insular and that you drop threads often without giving any closure to them unless you are threading with either Kate or Harvey. Please be mindful of this, especially in Renee's network posts. I think you're hampering interesting and prospective CR this way.
