New to the game? New characters? Just a little unsure of how you're doing? That's what this is here for, people.

How it works: Comment here - others will reply to that comment with what they have to say, and hopefully many lulz and happifuntimes will be had. We're encouraging asking questions if you don't know why or how a character got to the point they're at in game, and we're encouraging constructive criticism that isn't:

"Oh, you're so good bb!"
or
"I hate you. Diaf."

So make it good! You only get one shot every other month, right? At any rate, before you go off to comment, remember: You will get comments you agree with, and you will get comments you don't agree with; thus is the way of life. Don't take it personal. Don't get angry and start trolling. These people don't have anything against you as a person — unless, uh, they do, which we won't abide by — and we're all here to have fun, right? So let's act like it.

Anonymous comments have been temporarily enabled in the OOC community for the sake of anonymous crit, but as this privilege was abused last time and the moderators had to intervene, as promised this time around we are keeping logging IP on. We will not be checking the IP-addresses unless things get out of hand, nor will we be sharing them ever, but this is a measure in place to help prevent further abuse of anonymous commenting. Other comments? I'd really like to hear some feedback on how I am handling Seras since her canon update. I've been trying to portray her with some more confidence and aggressiveness, but I'm concerned I might be either not showing enough of that, or too little. Also last HMD someone brought up a concern about the flow of my tags. I've made effort to improve that and I'd like to hear back from that person on that issue.

I also know I've been very out of touch with Boyd lately and I'm hoping my hiatus will let me get my drive for him back and get back to scheming with him like he deserves.

I've only read a few of Seras's threads, but I think you're doing that very nicely! Particularly her log with Alucard where she brings up Jack and what she's done at home — that was very well done, and I could see a lot more confidence in her answers to Alucard.

Thank you and I'm really glad that log came out so well. Her interactions with Alucard are always some of the most difficult for me (in a good way) because she's grown so much without him around so trying to find the right footing from which to base reactions always worries me.

Also I owe you a big apology for dropping that plot with Khisanth and Boyd so hard. I managed to get too much on my plate with him and just made a royal mess of it and I'm sorry.

I like how much more confident Seras has been since her update, but I think I would like to see her more controlled as well. After she got her red outfit she seemed to act a lot more level and in-charge of her bloodlust, while in C&C it seems like it's really easy to get her yelling or threatening to dismember people.

And I hope your hiatus is helpful to you on the Boyd front because I'm looking forward to what you do with him!

I'll cut back on it then because what I wanted to show was she's more comfortable with what she's capable of and not simply just giving into her bloodlust. When these situations come up again I'm going to take a few extra minutes and look over my tags again to make sure I'm not over doing it again. Also I think part of the problem is me simply having to break some habits of how I've played her over the last couple of years.

Alastair has passed the 3 year mark, lost EVERYBODY he cares about, and is still taking care of things bequeathed to him. I've been trying to balance the fact that he's really depressed about losing Kiryu and Kaiba with fleeting attempts at acting normal, because wallowing in his depression is fun for no one. I still have his voice strong but I feel like there's little else I can play out with him, so I'm looking for an opportunity to give him one last huge hurrah before I retire him and pick up someone new and fresh. Unless there's another revolution in his life to freshen him up.
Sanji has been here 2.5 years and passed 1 year with Callie, recently updated to post-timeskip. His thing with Callie is probably going to implode sooner or later, it's more a matter of how than when. Coming back from the timeskip with two years of memories of Hell and a fresh glimpse of Nami meant he came back without any deep feelings for Callie he might have been cultivating beforehand.
Geddoe has two years under his belt and is just quietly working behind the scenes for GPS while now also supporting Jack Bauer's rampage. Mostly he's just biding his time till the next plot. I have AJ's go-ahead to investigate the thing with Vector but it hasn't started yet. He'll mostly be on autopilot for a while while I toy with apping in another character.

I’ve been on hiatus due to some health issues and I really apologize for not being around as much as I want to! :c I’m using the time off to canon review and reevaluate how I've been handling the game and I’m hoping to come back stronger and much more active with him. Other comments? Reilly has been in the game for roughly tow years now. A lot's happened in that time! He's found a family, died, fallen in love and just recently lost his first serious girlfriend. So I've been having him hang back a bit while he deals with that... but I've also had some trouble keeping up my RP drive lately. I think it's been getting better, but I know I've been bad about dropping threads and being slow to respond. Feel free to chew me out over that.

Other comments? I've been slow at tagging the past couple of weeks. Sorry guys, I am not usually this slow.

There has been an impact on Sofia since the last HMD - Julian's canon update. Sofia had reacted well to Julian's return. In her canon she always remained loyal to her friend. She saw her best friend Laurie while she had her withered arm and was not disgusted by it so his metal hands haven't phased her.

I'm obviously still very shaky with Gil's voice when writing him. He's coming from a rough spot in canon, but is trying to settle in as much as he'll allow himself in the City. He's more of a quiet type so admittedly writing him can be a challenge. :(

Kate is hitting the one year mark soon. I'm probably forgetting something... but otherwise I have nothing else to add.
